Breaded Chicken Wings

It’s that time of the year again. The Superbowl is here and America consumes about 1.4 billion chicken wings on this great sporting event. I don’t follow American football much but am a sucker for the different types of chicken wings that are made and eaten on this day. Here is a fun breaded chicken recipe that can be made in under 30 minutes and is high on flavor and deliciousness. The ingredients can be adjusted based on your spice and heat preference. May the best team win!
{Recipe}
Breaded chicken wings
INGREDIENTS:
Chicken wings – 7
Rice flour – 1 cup
Garlic powder–2tbsps
Onion powder – 1 tbsp
Ginger powder – 1tsp
Salt
Pepper
Cayenne pepper-1tbsp
Red chili flakes – 1 tbsp
Fish sauce – 1tbsp
Red wine vinegar – 1tsp
Ranch dressing
Oil
PREPARATION:
1)In a bowl, add the chicken wings. Then add garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, ginger powder and mix well with the wings.
2)In another bowl, add the rice flour with some more garlic powder, salt and pepper and dip each wing in the flour individually and place it on a tray.
3)Meanwhile, add about 2 cups of oil to a saucepan and heat the oil up, till you see small bubbles. Then take your coated chicken wings and add them to the hot oil.
4)Fry them for about 7 to 8 minutes. Once the wings are cooked, they will generally rise up to the surface of the oil. Take them out with some tongs and let it rest on a plate to get rid of excessive oil.
5)On a pan, add a bit of the remaining oil from the saucepan, along with some red chili flakes, fish sauce and red wine vinegar. Cook for about 5 minutes on high. Then add the chicken wings to the pan and mix well. Serve as shown with some ranch dressing. Enjoy! 🙂
